In short
- Deposit: ฿1,000 at pick-up, returned at the counter with the bike.
- We photograph your passport and you keep it. Honda X-ADV 750: no ฿1,000 deposit. We keep the original passport, or ฿20,000 in cash.
- Insurance: the compulsory Thai one. It pays medical costs only, not damage or theft.
- Damage: you pay the repair, plus the daily rent while the bike cannot be rented.
- Buy travel insurance that covers riding a motorbike.
The deposit
We take a refundable deposit of ฿1,000 at pick-up. Pay it by cash, PromptPay, bank transfer or card. There is no card fee on the deposit.
It covers fuel and late returns only. Damage is paid separately.
- Fuel: bring the bike back with the fuel level you got it with. Each missing level on the fuel gauge costs ฿100.
- Late return: the first hour is free, then ฿50 an hour. More than 3 hours late: you pay a full extra day instead.
You get it back at the counter when you return the bike, less any of these charges.
Honda X-ADV 750: no ฿1,000 deposit. Instead, we keep your original passport until the bike is back, or you leave ฿20,000 in cash.
Documents
- Your passport. We photograph it at pick-up and you keep it.
- Honda X-ADV 750: we keep your original passport until the bike is back, or you leave a ฿20,000 cash deposit instead.
- A valid driving licence from any country. A car licence is accepted.
- Honda X-ADV 750: a full motorbike licence, not a scooter-only licence.
- You must be at least 20 years old.
What the insurance covers
Every bike has the compulsory Thai insurance, Por Ror Bor (พ.ร.บ.). It pays medical costs after a road accident, up to the legal limits.
It does not cover:
- Damage to the bike.
- Theft of the bike.
- Other people's property.
It is the only insurance on the bike.
If the bike is damaged
You pay the repair bill, plus the daily rent for each day the bike cannot be rented. Normal wear is never charged.
- After an accident, call us at once and take photos.
- Get a police report within 24 hours if someone is hurt or another vehicle is involved.
- Do not have the bike repaired at another garage without our OK.
Flat or damaged tyre: you pay the repair.
If the bike breaks down and it is not your fault, we repair it or give you another bike, free, any time.
If the bike is stolen or destroyed
You pay the bike's value, shown in the table below. You pay the full amount even with a police report and the key returned.

If the bike is stolen, call us at once and get a police report within 24 hours.
Lost key or helmet
A lost key or remote is charged per bike.

One or two helmets come with each bike, as you prefer. A lost helmet costs ฿800.
Travel insurance
We advise you to buy travel insurance that covers riding a motorbike.
Before you travel, check two things:
- That it covers riding a motorbike or scooter, with the engine size you rent.
- Which driving licence it asks for.
Thai law asks for a valid licence for the bike you ride. Without one, police can fine you up to ฿2,000 and your travel insurance may not pay.
